ok, at the risk starting a springsteen riot, I think the Nebraska album is way overrated but NOT this song....one of the BEST springsteen songs ever (along with wreck on the hiway.) it says it all

@canine2 - I'm from Jersey, but I'll admit, I didn't start listening to Springsteen until he dumped the E-Street Band. Nebraska & Tunnel of Love are my favorites.
